I'd love to read that piece by Kay Bell – but your link goes to a piece on Prior-year contributions allowed for 2010 Haiti donations for the 2009 Tax Year….

I whole-heartedly agree with Kay Bell.
Stark, and all of the anti-tax contingent, most of whom espouse the mantra of the last 30 years of the conservative Republicans – Lower (what they really mean here is "No") tax and Smaller Government (What I think they mean is less costly, but they always talk about it like they mean less people employed by the Government) – all forget one giant hole in their theories on Taxes:
How else do we get the money to fund the frackin Government?
I, as well as the next Anti-tax Tea Partier, would actually like the Government to spend less money where possible.
I just don't think it should come from the poor, the old and the sick. I think that the wealthy, who've done exceptionally well over the past 30 years, should contribute a bit more of their horde, to the benefit of the General Welfare.
Maybe one or two less gold-plated toilet seats or personal jets for each of those 21st Century Wall St. Banksters, to ensure a moderate level of healthcare for all those who provide the vast profits that ensure their high-roller lifestyles wouldn't be out of order?
